The S&P 500 fell 0.7% Tuesday after the long Labor Day weekend, following a turbulent session Friday that dragged major indexes lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also declined 0.7%, while the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite lost 1.2%. The major indexes have all fallen for three consecutive weeks.
